An Oklahoma City metro transit operator has been charged following the death of a man investigators say was hit by a bus.
According to an Oklahoma City Police arrest warrant, EMBARK driver Cameron Cunningham stopped near West Hefner Road and North Western Avenue, where Steven Thomas was standing on a curb.
Investigators say Cunningham believed Thomas was intoxicated and refused service. Cunningham tried driving off while Thomas' hands were on the bus.
Court documents say Thomas then fell and was hit by the bus.
Investigators say that Cunningham told his supervisor Thomas fell on his own and did not mention his severe injuries. Investigators say Cunningham's report delayed first responders, and Thomas later died.
Cunningham has now been charged with Second-Degree Manslaughter and Leavi
