The Oklahoma State Department of Education will not be moving forward with the "America First" test required for teachers coming to the state, the department says.

The test, created in July under former State Superintendent Ryan Walters, was a requirement for teachers coming to Oklahoma from New York or California.

Built in collaboration with PragerU, a nonprofit and conservative online media group, the test included questions about the U.S. government, religious freedom and gender-related topics.
