A Broussard man faces three felony sex crimes charges related to 500 counts of child porn and animal sex abuse, according to Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill.

Shannon David Miler, 52, was arrested Monday after the AG's office received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, said, Lester Duhé, press secretary for Murrill.

Miler faces 504 counts of child sex abuse material under age 13, four counts of child sex abuse material and two counts of sex abuse of an animal.

Miler is held at the St. Martin Parish jail and his bond is unknown.

Duhé said the AG's office investigated the crimes with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security and the St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office.
