WILLOUGHBY HILLS, Ohio — A man from Tacoma, Washington, has died following a single-vehicle crash on I-90 East, according to the Willoughby Hills Police Department.

Officials say the crash occurred around 9 p.m. on Oct. 22, on the I-90 East spur leading to I-271 South. Multiple 911 callers reported a vehicle leaving the roadway and entering a wooded area at the bottom of a ravine.

Upon arriving at the scene, officers found an overturned 2018 Lexus with a single occupant trapped inside.

"The vehicle had traveled a considerable distance into a heavily wooded area, making access and rescue operations challenging," said the Willoughby Hills Police Department in a media release.
