Reliance Industries has started recalibrating its Russian oil imports in line with the government’s guidelines, a company spokesperson confirmed. Coming as it does in the wake of US President Donald Trump’s claim that India would stop buying oil from Russia, the development sparked a controversy over the government’s stance.
Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, taking a dig at the government, said, “Modi proposes, Reliance disposes, Trump exposes.”
