LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a crash in the central valley involving a stolen car.

According to LVMPD, around 5 a.m., the owner of a stolen car was following their vehicle near the area of Wynn Road and Tropicana Avenue. Officers launched a search, and when the stolen vehicle was located, the driver fled the scene.

Officials report the driver crashed the stolen car into landscaping and several other parked vehicles. The driver was arrested, according to police.

LVMPD officials say there will be an active police presence at this time. Drivers are suggested to avoid this area.
