Panic spread on the Ramnagar–Bhandarpani route inside the Corbett landscape when a tusker suddenly appeared near Teda Gate. The elephant began chasing vehicles passing through the area, creating chaos and fear among commuters.

According to eyewitnesses, several vehicles were passing along the road in the evening when a massive tusker suddenly emerged from the forest bushes. The elephant moved aggressively toward the vehicles, forcing one tourist family to abandon their car and flee to safety along with their children.

The Ramnagar Forest Division SDO, Ankit Badola said that the forest staff had been immediately sent to the spot upon receiving information. “We urge tourists to exercise caution, as this stretch falls under an elephant corridor,” he adde
