A woman was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence in Long Beach and an investigation of the alleged assault is continuing Thursday, police said.

Long Beach Police Department officers were called to the 1300 block of Wesley Drive and Orange Avenue regarding a domestic violence incident at approximately 11:29 p.m. Tuesday, police said. When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim, a man, who sustained a non-life-threatening laceration to the lower body.

The woman was taken into custody and Long Beach Fire Department personnel took the victim to a hospital, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
