A late-night crash that sheared a gas line prompted evacuations in the Sylmar neighborhood of Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The incident, involving a pickup truck and a parked vehicle, was reported shortly before 11 p.m. in the area of Glenoaks Boulevard and Herron Street.

Video from the scene showed that a gas main was sheared as a result of the collision.
