SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Film Louisiana held a briefing about the state of the film and television industry after meeting with Hollywood heavyweights in Los Angeles.
Jason Waguespack, President of Film Louisiana, said a delegation from the state traveled to the movie capital to convince studios that "Louisiana should be at the top of the list for filmmaking locations." They hosted Crawfish Étouffée & Cocktails on October 15, bringing a pinch of Louisiana flavor and hospitality to Hollywood.
Waguespack shared a lookbook, presented to studio heads, featuring landscape and location photography along with brief descriptions. He also highlighted Act 44, which extended the state's film tax credits to include workforce training. An incentive that will continue to grow the large talent pool
