PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — A mostly dry, cloudy, and mild day Thursday will quickly fade to wind and rain this weekend around Portland.

Mostly cloudy skies will continue to sit over much of the Pacific Northwest. A nice southerly breeze will keep afternoon temperatures in the mid-60s for much of the Willamette Valley. No rain is expected as the atmospheric river still remains offshore.

Coastal residents and visitors should keep their distance from the coast as sneaker waves remain a threat Thursday. Turbulent seas will likely remain as Oregon and Washington feel the effect of a major fall storm this weekend.
