EUGENE, Ore. — Two plain-clothes ICE agents detained two suspects as they were released from the Lane County Jail last week.

The incident, involving two men suspected of involvement in a burglary ring targeting Asian-American families in Eugene, has been confirmed by the Lane County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident, on October 15, was filmed by at least one known witness, and the information was revealed in an internal memo released by Sgt. Tim Wallace.

The memo reveals that two Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents entered the jail lobby as an attorney opened the door.
