OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Over the past two mornings, Omaha has experienced its coldest temperatures so far this season. A Freeze Warning and Frost Advisory have now expired for the Omaha area.
Frost is possible with temperatures below 40°, with frost likely when the temperature drops below 36°. A light freeze can happen below 32°, and a hard freeze occurs when temperatures drop below 28°.
Temperatures dropped into the upper 20s outside of the metro Thursday morning, indicating a freeze took place in those areas. Eppley Airfield had a low of 37°. Even though it wasn’t quite as cold at the airport, other places in the Omaha metro may have dropped below 32° into the freezing threshold.
Wednesday morning was cold, too! Eppley recorded a low of 35°, with surrounding towns recording as low as 27°
