Phase one of the ongoing checkpoint expansion project at the Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE) is complete.
The most significant change for passengers is the updated exit route that now directs guests through automatic double doors. This updated system allows for an overall more secure exit lane. Also notable are new amenity rooms after passing through the security checkpoint including the business center, interfaith and meditation room, and sensory room. These rooms were all designed to enhance the passengers experience while in the airport.
