WINDSOR LOCKS, Conn. (WTNH) — Avelo Airlines has pulled out of Bradley International Airport, according to the Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA).
The CAA said in a statement released Thursday that they are disappointed about Avelo's decision particularly to cancel the states only nonstop service to Montego Bay, Jamaica. They called the decision "inexplicable."
Bradley airport told News 8 the airline had three flights directly from Connecticut: to Punta Cana, Cancun and Montego Bay.
"The CAA is puzzled why Avelo claims to have been uniquely unsuccessful at BDL despite those significant advantages and the success enjoyed by many other carriers at the airport during the same timeframe," the CAA's statement said.
