COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - The El Paso County Coroner’s Office has identified the motorcycle rider from a deadly crash that occurred on Oct. 2.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 4000 Block of Maizeland Road at 4:40 p.m. regarding a traffic crash.

Officers determined that a single motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Maizeland Road when the rider lost control and crashed.

Medical personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the rider died due to her injuries, police said.

The Coroner’s Office identified the motorcycle rider as Megumi Morris, 26.

The CSPD Major Crash Team is leading the investigation into the crash. Neither speed nor impairment appears to be a factor in the crash, police said.
