EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) - A suspect was arrested Wednesday on narcotics and firearm-related charges following a K9 alert, according to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO).
EPSO said Deputy Dakota Richardson and K9 Mako, the sheriff’s office’s newest certified K9, responded to a vehicle that was suspected of carrying narcotics around 4:15 p.m. The vehicle’s location was not shared.
Once on scene, deputies said K9 Mako conducted an open-air sniff and alerted positively to the vehicle, prompting a search.
According to deputies, approximately 350 (52 grams) fentanyl pills, 44 grams of meth, 105 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and a loaded firearm with a full magazine were found in the vehicle.
EPSO said the suspect, 31-year-old Warren Wooten, was arrested on three counts of unlaw
