COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - An IKEA store recently popped up between the Chipotle and Verizon at the University Village Shopping Center, and 11 News reached out to IKEA to find out what the store will look like.
The furniture store told 11 News that the new location will be what they call a “Plan and Order Point with Pick-up store.”
According to IKEA’s website, there is no inventory at these stores. Instead, they say the store focuses on giving home furnishing advice and expertise to help customers design their space.
IKEA’s website says customers can book an appointment to design their space with a planning specialist or use in-store self-service tools. Guests can then order those items to be delivered to their home or picked up for free at the store.
