Police: Man with drugs and knife arrested after being seen on Norfolk school grounds

NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV) - A Nebraska School Resource Officer prevented a man with drugs and a weapon from entering a high school in Norfolk.

The Norfolk Police Division says the incident began on Wednesday, Oct. 22, when a resident reported a suspicious person at 12:37 p.m., appearing to be under the influence of drugs. According to the caller, the individual was attempting to enter a residence in the 700 block of North 8th Street, less than a block from Norfolk Senior High School.

Responding officers identified the man as 30-year-old Gordan J. Davidson of Ewing, Nebraska. After an interaction with officers, police say Davidson left the area.

A short time later, Davidson was seen by the Norfolk Senior High School’s School Resource Officer. Police say at around 1:25 p.m., Davidson appeared
