FRANKLIN, Neb. (KSNB) - A former Franklin educator and coach will be sentenced in January after taking a plea deal in an ongoing case.
Court records show 38-year-old Anthony Campana pleaded no contest to one count of first-degree sexual assault and one count of manufacturing the visual depiction of sexually explicit conduct.
Prosecutors dropped three charges of first-degree sexual abuse by a school employee as part of this plea agreement.
He is accused of having a sexual relationship with a student.
Campana had originally pled not guilty to all five charges.
At the time of his arrest, Campana worked as a paraprofessional and high school football coach at Franklin Public Schools. He’s no longer employed with the district.
His sentencing is set for Jan. 8 at 2 p.m.
