GIBSON COUNTY, Ind. (WEVV) — We are learning more about a stabbing investigation that took place in Gibson County on Wednesday.

As we reported, one person was arrested after a report of a stabbing in Fort Branch. Authorities said the man arrested was 31-year-old Talon Guard.

Arrest made following stabbing investigation in Fort Branch

We've now learned that Guard was the man who was stabbed at an apartment on South McCreary Street, according to authorities.

On Wednesday, deputies responded to a report of a man bleeding at a diner in Fort Branch. Authorities say the injured victim told them he drove himself there after a fight that happened at the apartment.

When authorities went to the apartment, they said they saw a trail of blood, so they forced their way inside.
