A man has been arrested after he was allegedly caught on video sucker-punching a shopper outside an Aldi in Lauderdale Lakes—an unprovoked attack that left the victim in a coma and with permanent injuries.

The Broward Sheriff's Office said they arrested Dandrea Johnson on Wednesday, on a charge of felony battery with great bodily harm, permanent disability or permanent disfigurement.

The incident happened shortly after 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the grocery store at 3301 North State Road 7.

Broward Sheriff's Office investigators said the two men argued briefly inside the store before the suspect walked out, lingered, and then ambushed the victim as he left.
