Rogers, which owns the Toronto Blue Jays, told a local city bar to delete a social media post that included a Toronto Blue Jays logo, which is trademarked by the organization.
George Diamantouros, the manager of Sneaky Dee's, said the post was made to let patrons know the bar would be playing the Jays games, because many people reached out to ask whether that was the case.
“We’re not even a sports bar,” he told CBC Toronto. “We're just accommodating what's going on, the spirit of the city, right now.”
Being a long-time Jays fan himself, Diamantouros said he was excited to promote the bar’s participation in the city-wide enthusiasm. He added a sticker of the Blue Jays logo to the post, which he said was suggested by the Meta algorithm, and uploaded it to Sneaky Dee's’ social media.
