Emmitt Finnie, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard and Axel Sandin-Pellikka would all be playing for the Grand Rapids Griffins if they hadn’t flourished in training camp and the preseason and earned roster spots with the Detroit Red Wings.

That’s a significant chunk of talent, not to mention Nate Danielson, who’s out with an injury suffered in training camp. But the Griffins don’t seem to miss them.
