Due to expected rain, the cultural burn scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 25, near the Cal State East Bay, Concord Campus at 4700 Ygnacio Valley Road between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., is being rescheduled for a later date, likely in the Spring. The mak-warép Ohlone Land Conservancy, in partnership with Cal State East Bay’s Concord Campus, CAL FIRE, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District, and the Contra Costa Resource Conservation District (CCRCD) had planned to conduct a ceremonial cultural burn of less than one acre at the Concord Campus.
