Anton Du Beke has responded to Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's announcement that they will both be leaving Strictly Come Dancing , saying its the 'saddest of news'.

The presenters, who have co-hosted the show together since 2014, announce d on Thursday (October 23) that they will leave the BBC One dance show at the end of the current series.

The news came as a surprise to their Strictly co-stars, as well as fans, with the duo saying there had been "rumblings" and they wanted to share the news for themselves.

In a joint statement shared on Instagram, Tess and Claudia said "We have loved working as a duo and hosting Strictly has been an absolute dream," they said. "We were always going to leave together and now feels like the right time.
