CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WV News) — A Harrison County jury on Thursday convicted an Ohio man of first-degree murder in the 2024 shooting death of a Clarksburg man.
The jury recommended mercy for Kameron Darnell Griffin, 25, of Akron, Ohio, in the Feb. 21, 2024 murder of Dallion Lewis, 37, of Clarksburg. That means Griffin can apply for parole after serving 15 years on the murder count.
However, he could see additional time for three other convictions in the case: Conspiracy to commit kidnapping, prohibited person in possession of a firearm and use or presentation of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
Sentencing for Griffin will be held at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 18, with Harrison Circuit Judge D. Andrew McMunn presiding.
The jury deliberated for 2 1/2 hours.
