MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — He walks with a slight limp — his prosthetic leg concealed beneath his pants — a small price, he says, for his life. She survived a devastating car crash and spent a month in intensive care, defying all odds. And a young boy, once clinging to life after a horrific go-kart accident, now flashes an ornery grin and high-fives the caregivers who helped bring him home.

Their stories came full circle at the WVU Medicine Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center (JMMTC) Night of Recognition , held Oct. 16 at the Morgantown Marriott at Waterfront Place. Each honoree shared their journey of survival and expressed gratitude to the dedicated team who never left their side.
