ARTHURDALE, W.Va. (WV News) — Arthurdale Heritage is offering locals a chance to step into history on Nov. 1, when its historic forge once again comes alive with the clang of hammers and the glow of hot metal during a hands-on metalworking workshop.
Led by Helvetia-based blacksmith and artist Tim “Beard” Hibbs, the workshop will guide participants through the fundamentals of metalworking as they craft a wall sconce inspired by an original Mountaineer Craftsman Cooperative Association design created in the same forge nearly a century ago.
