MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WV News) — For 100 years, Massullo’s Cleaners has been a fixture in downtown Morgantown — a place where generations of families have brought their Sunday best, work uniforms, and wedding gowns to be cared for by the same family of tailors and cleaners.
The story began in 1925, when Italian immigrant Domenico Massullo opened a small tailoring shop on Pleasant Street. He and his wife Raphael worked side by side, serving the growing college town with a dedication to craftsmanship and care that would become the foundation of a century-long legacy.
“My grandfather came from Italy and opened his shop on Pleasant Street,” said current owner Linda Cerone, Domenico’s granddaughter. “We still have his original sewing machine — a Singer — down in the basement.”
Over time, Domeni
