BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - What’s said to be the largest drone light show in Maine is taking to the sky in Orono this weekend.

Themis Violaris, a University of Maine alumus, is the founder of Los Angeles-based Grizzly Entertainment.

Violaris earned both his undergraduate degree and MBA from UMaine and credits the school for much of his success. Despite moving away after graduation in the 90s, he said Wednesday being back on campus is like coming home.

And he comes bearing a gift.

This homecoming weekend, Grizzly Entertainment is putting 400 drones up in the sky for two light shows on Friday and Saturday

They’ve previously done shows for the likes of the Tampa Bay Rays, L.A. Dodgers, UC Berkeley, and even Missy Elliot.

These shows are not cheap.
