PEORIA, AZ (AZFamily) — At least one person has died after a serious crash on a West Valley highway Thursday afternoon.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, two vehicles collided on SR 74 near Lake Pleasant Road shortly after noontime. The impact caused one vehicle to roll over.

Troopers confirm at least one person has died, but it’s unclear how many others are injured.

SR 74 is blocked in both directions. Drivers are asked to avoid the highway or find alternate routes.
