TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Pima County Sheriff’s Department says a man has died after crashing his motorcycle.

The PCSD says the crash happened October 15 near West Picture Rocks Road and North Yuma Mine Road.

Investigators say it appears 46-year-old Monte Johnson went left of center and crashed into a desert area off the roadway.

Witnesses at the scene told deputies they did not believe the rider was speeding.

Johnson was taken to the hospital with what PCSD says appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

He died at the hospital on October 18.
