PEORIA, Ariz. — A woman has died after a car crash reported Thursday near Lake Pleasant, law enforcement officials said.

Sky12 footage shows two vehicles sustained extensive damage following a collision in the area of State Route 74 and Lake Pleasant Road. One of the cars had rolled over.

Peoria police said one woman died at the scene and a man has been taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

There's a large police presence in the area and access to this section of the roadway may be restricted.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.
