Fans of the beloved Scottish crime drama, Shetland , are in for a treat as the show is set to return sooner than anticipated. The much-awaited comeback of Shetland on our screens has been confirmed for early November. ‌

Shetland, a British crime drama television series produced by ITV Studios for BBC Scotland, first graced our screens on BBC One in 2013 and ran for an impressive nine series. ‌

The series, originally based on Ann Cleeves' novels and adapted by David Kane, has captivated audiences with its gripping storylines and compelling characters. ‌

The series initially starred Douglas Henshall as DI Jimmy Pérez, with Ashley Jensen taking over as DI Ruth Calder from the eighth series onwards.
