In a speech filled with applause and standing ovations, Superintendent Anita Huggins painted a hopeful picture of Charleston County Schools, celebrating recent academic gains and milestones. She urged district leaders not to lose momentum, stressing that more work is needed to close achievement gaps and outlining what is to come in the months ahead.
Huggins delivered her speech Oct. 23 at Charleston Music Hall to a crowd of more than 700 attendees, which included local leaders, community members, district officials, students, teachers and administrators.
