NORRISTOWN — A Reading man admitted to charges he sexually assaulted two underage girls in Lansdale and intimidated one of the victims by telling her he’d kill her pet cat if she told anyone about the assaults.

John Randall Scott, 45, of the 1000 block of Franklin Street, pleaded guilty in Montgomery County Court on Thursday to multiple counts of rape of a child as well as charges of solicitation of rape of a child, intimidation of a witness, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors in connection with incidents that occurred more than a 14 years ago, between 2007 and 2010 in Lansdale.

The girls, who are sisters, were between the ages of 2 and 7 when the assaults occurred. Scott knew the girls’ mother, and the assaults occurred on multiple occasions when the girls were
