RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina state Senate returned four bills back to the state House without consideration due to the bills being ineligible according to the adjournment resolution passed by both chambers.

The four bills include three Medicaid-related bills and one to increase pay for teachers: • Senate Bill 378: Align Medicaid Eligibility with Federal Law • Senate Bill 405: Healthcare Investment Act • Senate Bill 599: State/Teacher Pay & Local LEO Bonus • House Bill 491: Medicaid Rebase Funding

An adjournment resolution is an agreement between the two chambers on what bills they will jointly consider when they reconvene after they leave, or adjourn. The state Senate and House adjourned Sept. 25 and came back Monday, Oct. 20.
