PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Thursday, the Peoria community is mourning the loss of one of its most cherished leaders.

Bishop Joseph Johnson , longtime pastor of Star of Hope Full Gospel Church, passed away peacefully Wednesday night in his home at the age of 90, according to family members.

Having only retired last year, Johnson dedicated nearly six decades to ministry and public service. Known for his compassion, generosity, and unwavering faith, he leaves behind a legacy that has touched countless lives across Peoria.
