Lansing — Anne Minard, a prominent Republican fundraiser facing allegations of embezzlement, reached a plea deal with state prosecutors Thursday, agreeing to testify against her former boss, ex-Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield.
During a hearing in Ingham County Circuit Court, Minard pleaded guilty to two of her 12 felony charges and admitted to embezzling money from the Peninsula Fund, a nonprofit account Chatfield used to raise cash from donors whose names didn’t have to be disclosed to the public.
