LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Governor Andy Beshear and Kentucky State Police are honoring four Kentuckians whose quick actions helped save the life of a trooper shot in the line of duty this summer.

During a ceremony Thursday, officials recognized Jessica and Jimmy Alexander, Taylor Hall, and Officer Adam Arnold for their heroism after Trooper Jude Remilien was shot on July 13 near Blue Grass Airport.

Dash and body camera footage from the incident — which has been blurred due to its graphic nature — shows the chaotic moments after Trooper Remilien was hit. The four honorees rushed to his aid, applying pressure to his wounds and helping keep him alive until more help arrived.
