WAYNE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Pikeville man is accused of breaking into his neighbor’s home, cracking her safe, and stealing $30,000 in cash.
On October 10th, Wayne County deputies were called to a home in Pikeville for a reported break-in.
Deputies said the victim reported her home and safe had been broken into, and a large wad of cash was stolen.
Warrants say Cameron Barbour of Pikeville stole $30,000 after cracking the victim’s safe right down the street from where he lives.
The 20-year-old and the victim know each other, according to deputies.
Barbour was charged with breaking and entering, safecracking, and larceny after breaking and entering.
He is being held in jail under a $30,000 secured bond.
