KINSTON, N.C. (WITN) - The City of Kinston has announced that the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency has provided funding for the 2027 Essential Single-Family Rehabilitation Loan Pool Project.

The City says the project could help qualified homeowners make major home repairs through a 0% interest, forgivable loan.

The loan is forgiven in equal amounts each year for up to five years, as long as the homeowner continues to live in the home, according to the City.

Nov. 13 at 5:30 p.m. — Kinston City Hall, Council Chambers, 207 East King St., Kinston

Nov. 15 at 9:30 a.m. — Georgia K. Battle Community Center, 401 Lincoln St., Kinston

Nov. 18 at 3 p.m. — La Grange Community Center, Gathering Hall, 203 South Center St
