People who want to attend this year’s community buffet dinner and dance event that collects store gift cards that police distribute throughout the winter to “the hungry, hurting, homeless” are already anxious to reserve a seat for the Dec. 6 now that the date has been announced.
Some of the cards will be used to buy warm socks, winter clothing, a hot meal or groceries and sundries.

In a social media post Saugeen Shores police said in exchange for the donation of a gift card, participants will enjoy a meal from Chef Tim of Hampton Hall Catering who works at The Southampton Golf & Country Club, where owner Kevin will donate all the food, labour and time to help Saugeen Shores Police Service help the community and those most vulnerable.
