LANSING, MI – Anne Minard, a former political consultant to ex-House Speaker Lee Chatfield, pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement and filing a false tax return, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced.

Minard, 38, was charged with multiple felonies in December 2024 for misappropriating funds from three nonprofit organizations and two political action committees tied to the former speaker.

She pleaded guilty before Judge James Jamo in the 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County, according to a news release from Nessel’s office.

She pleaded guilty to one count of embezzlement ($1,000 or more but less than $20,000) from the Peninsula Fund, a nonprofit organization.
