HORNELL, N.Y. (WETM) — A Hornell woman was arrested after police said she intentionally set paper towels on fire and stuck it in a hole in her apartment wall, causing damage.
Angela Smith, 42, was arrested on Wednesday, Oct. 22, on the charges of arson in the second degree (class B felony), reckless endangerment in the first degree (class D felony), and criminal mischief in the fourth degree (class A misdemeanor), as stated in a release from the Hornell Police Department.
On Wednesday morning in the early hours, officers were sent to an apartment on Fulton Street in the City of Hornell for the report of a woman, later identified as Smith, Facebook livestreaming herself lighting paper towels on fire and stuffing them into a hole in the drywall of her apartment, police said.
