GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - A Green Bay couple is sharing their story about why a new app available right now could save lives in the community.
It alerts people who are CPR-trained when there’s an emergency nearby.
“July 1, 2011. It was a day that changed our lives. My wife, Ann, who is standing right here, is still here today due to two things: CPR and having AEDs available,” says Mark Husen.
14 years ago, Ann Husen was swimming at the YMCA when suddenly, her heart rhythm became irregular.
It stayed that way for 12 minutes.
“I went into cardiac arrest, so immediately I turned blue; I was hanging off the side of the pool. And immediately, the lifeguard who was a nurse went into action, and another responder who worked at the Y came in,” says Ann.
She and her husband joined with represe
