ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - The Georgia Federation of Teachers sent a letter the DeKalb County school board chair and vice chair calling on school board members to resign.

The letter is in response to former Superintendent Devon Horton resigning after being indicted on federal charges.

The first product is the education and the quality of education,” Verdaillia Turner, Georgia Federation of Teachers president, said.

Turner said the request is particularly for the four board members who were on the board when the former superintendent was hired.
