Instagram Stories just got an upgrade. According to an announcement on Thursday , you'll be able to edit your Stories in a handful of different ways using generative artificial intelligence . While the ability to add, remove and change images and videos in your Stories has been around since June, the feature now has some new tricks.

Meta AI 's usefulness in Instagram has been minimal up to now, causing some to try to remove it completely . That could be changing. Reminiscent of conversational editing in Google Photos , you can write a prompt in Meta AI to have something in a photo removed, make bigger edits or alter the entire effect. CNET
