AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - A nonprofit organization is getting closer to opening 25 tiny homes for young adults aging out of foster care after completing site work on the project.

Dr. Jackson Drumgoole, founder and CEO of Bridge Builder Communities , said the vision he has carried for years is becoming reality. Site work is now complete on Merry Street, where the tiny homes will be constructed.

“I’ve lived in this space in my heart, in my head for a number of years, and to see it actually about to start serving young adults throughout the entire state of Georgia, it’s humbling,” Drumgoole said.
